Who’s in charge?

Who is in charge? Is it the Fox guarding the China shop? Er, something like that.

I was reading a blog a few minutes ago, and thought it was right on the mark. As I usually do, I read the Comments section when I’m done as I digest the blog, and I got riled up by some lefties blaming it all on Bush, Repubs etc. for the fix we’re now in. Eight years blah blah blah…I forgot that some people just don’t get it. Bush or not, they don’t understand that the pickle were in now goes much deeper than party politics. Unemployment, value of the dollar, housing bubble busting. In essence, economic crisis we face is only a piece in the puzzle. If that were the only issue, we could correct the problems. They are fixable. The real crisis we face are the people with their hands on the tiller of this great Country of ours.

So, I will quote my comment here for posterity’s sake:

“I concur with the article and most of the comments. We are curiously caught between a rock and a hard place. We can sit and watch our country and rights erode around us or we can stand up, be firm and be around to help pick up the pieces. We can put those pieces back the way they were meant to be, because its coming down, one way or another. I made the comment at a neighbors house the other day. It occurred to me as a friend of my neighbor was talking about people spitting on him in the airport as he arrived back state side after serving in Vietnam. I said, ‘ The people that were spitting on you in the airport are in charge of this country now’.”  http://drscoundrels.com/2009/08/welcome-to-the-ussa/

They now are spitting on our constitution and loving it. This is the greatest opportunity the Progressives/Socialists/Marxists and assorted Lefties have ever had to radically change this country into their idealistic Utopian dream State. Their godless heaven on Earth.

Anyway, things can’t go on as they are. We have a young President without a lot of experience but full of bad ideas. Bad in that they will destroy this country as we’ve known it. “Fundamentally changing America”, remember that one? How fundamental? Completely, to the core, toss out the Constitution type fundamental change.  As it is, with the huge debt and unfettered printing of money to try and cover that debt, we’re screwed. I have a feeling it isn’t going to stop there. We have Cap & Tax sitting in the Senate with the health care fiasco right beside it. Don’t kid yourselves, they are going to pass them.

Up until now, Mr. President has treated us with kid gloves, truly. He’s gotten on TV and cheered it along. He’s spread a few lies and untruths about it; no illegals and no abortions as examples, but he hasn’t put any serious muscle behind it. He will, mark my words. Obama has just been snubbed on the world stage by the Olympic rejection, and they’ve made fun of him on Saturday Night Live! Faint faint! They made fun of him because he hasn’t done a dam thing, and they’re right as long as you don’t count the GM takeover for the unions and AIG. None of the things he really wants are going anywhere. The Lunatic Fringe that helped get him elected are foaming at the mouth.

So whats he going to do? Well, actually all he’s got to do is lean on Pelosi and Reid and say get ‘em passed! There isn’t a dam thing anyone can do about it. He has majority in both houses. What about the Blue Dog Dems we keep hearing about? Well, whatever color they are, they’re Dems, are they not? American politics has degenerated into graft, corruption and scandal. Those Blue Dogs are politicians, enough of them will succumb to earmarks, arm twisting and whatever dirt they dig up on them to get these passed. So what if the Senate version doesn’t have the socialist single payer, that can be taken care of in reconciliation. They control both houses, you don’t think they control reconciliation?

A bit off topic, but what is the deal with Afghanistan? Thats easy, he nor any of the people he has surrounded himself with has a clue. They’re used to protesting wars, not running them. His apology tour was supposed to win him instant friends who would take up the slack. He/they don’t understand that America isn’t getting much help from our allies not because they didn’t like Bush, but that they’re used to America doing it all. We host, fund and drive the U.N. When we leave it up to the world to stand up for whats right, it doesn’t happen. See Darfur and even Somalia as examples. We tried in Somalia, but we can’t do it all, and we can’t do it all of the time. I could get lost in this topic, so I’ll nip this one in the bud and leave something for future comment.

So where does that leave us? I’m trying not to be a pessimist, but its hard. Optimistically, we see some hard times, but in 2010 we gain some Republican seats back and actually elect a few Indies. During the 2012 elections we fire a bunch of Pubs, Dems and elect a whole lot of Indies. Enough that given the election of the Palin/Newt ticket we finally get down to brass tacks and wipe out years of unconstitutional atrocities and finally give the government back to We The People, who realize that we will each finally be in control of their own destiny. We The People, buoyed  with new found hope for the future work hard(for themselves finally),  the economy takes off and we find jobs for all the ex-government workers who need real work to do after getting their pink slips. Americans receive all the Nobel Prizes cause we’re just so awesome. The U.N. finds a new home in Switzerland but can’t meet for a few years till the new house of horrors is built. This takes more time than originally planned as America explains that since we’ve supported it for years, pretty much all by ourselves, we’re not paying any dues for 25 years. And finally, the last Unicorn walks the streets of Chicago but amazingly isn’t mugged or bashed in the head with a 2×4. Monkeys fly out of my butt.

Realistically? I think we’re in for some really hard times. Times that will strain the bonds of our Republic. The economy gets worse. Bread lines, riots and a crime wave unseen in this country in decades. Wandering bands of opportunists, looking for easy marks. Martial law. The New (old, FDR) Bill of Rights. Countries around the world will take back our military bases and some of the troops will come home, some will decide to stay where its safe. I give it a 50/50 chance we will have something akin to the Civil War, States Rights being the crux at issue once again. The government being unable to give everything to anyone due to a lack of tax revenues will attempt to socialize all industry in America, this won’t do much as most were on the verge of bankruptcy anyway if they hadn’t collapsed already. Countries around the world will do nothing to help, Britain will contemplate doing something but will give up in the end as its way to big to handle.  After this God knows, we might get things straight after a decade or two, but by then the worlds Superpower will be China/India and the United States of Euroland.

Well, I guess I started out in reality and ended up in some pessimistic abject delirium. Please excuse me, as I fear the future. Its actually not a fear based in change, I like change, change is necessary. It happens with or without your consent. Of course change with out a hand on the rudder is dangerous. I feel that if the hand(s) on the rudder are self deluded utopian’s that haven’t a clue about how this country is supposed to work, how its worked for 200+ years, we are in for a rough ride. Probably not as bad as I put forward only a moment ago, but bad none the less.

We will get through this, I believe that, truly I do, but I don’t think it will be easy. No amber waves of grain, no purple mountains majesty. With the Grace of God, some true grit and determination we will see this through.    (http://www.wrensworld.com/purpmount.htm) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/America_the_Beautiful)

Advice? From a crackpot like me? Sure, be a Boy Scout, be prepared. Don’t look for Tinkerbell’s fairy dust, find yourself a nice bag of grit, a tin of elbow grease and roll up your sleeves. Sittin on the couch ain’t gunna git it. Stand up, and do it now, things are fixin to get interesting.

DCCC and Gall

I recently received an email signed by Madeleine K. Albright from the DCCC. I will copy it here just in case you were not aware of it. My name has been changed to protect the innocent. Yes, I AM innocent, I don’t care what they say, or how much evidence they bring, its a plot I tell ya, its….a …..never mind.

Dear Dude,

Every new president inherits headaches, but President Obama has inherited an entire emergency room.

Our struggle to reclaim our standing in the world has been challenging, but we are making progress. Together, we will need to continue to speak up, fight back, and give President Obama the support he needs to succeed.

We cannot let our opponents stand in the way of an America that consults with our friends to build a future based on law, justice and human rights. You can personally take a stand today by showing the world that we stand with President Obama and that we will not falter.

September 30th marks the FEC filing deadline – this date is extremely important because in the world of public affairs, the amount of money Democrats raise will be seen as a referendum on President Obama’s leadership and momentum. The DCCC has set a goal to raise $1 Million in grassroots support and if you generously give today to help us, Democrats will match your gift.

Stand with President Obama and contribute $5, $10 or more today and your gift will be matched 2-to-1. For every dollar you give, a group of Democrats will match with two dollars of their own.

Support President Obama! Gifts will be matched 2-to-1 by Democrats in Congress.

House Democrats are determined to exceed their goal to show the entire world how united and committed we are to President Obama’s leadership as he restores America’s role as a source of hope and inspiration across the globe.

President Obama is the leader of his generation. He has the capability to think in 21st Century terms. But he cannot lead America boldly in the right direction without the support and encouragement of Democrats like you. Please help us today.

Stand with President Obama and contribute $5, $10 or more to the Million Dollar Match before September 30th. For every dollar you give, Speaker Pelosi and other House Democrats will give two dollars of their own.

Sincerely,

Madeleine K. Albright
Madeleine K. Albright

PS: The media and Washington political analysts will see the September 30th fundraising totals as a report card on President Obama’s leadership. Support the Million Dollar Match before September 30th. Remember, for every dollar you give, Speaker Pelosi and House Democrats will give two dollars of their own.

Here is my reply:

I cannot believe that this is from such a smart and distinguished lady as yourself. If it is, I’m sorry, but most people at this time have come to understand that President Obama has not the slightest clue about the intricacies of diplomacy and international relations. He coddles our enemies and craps on our allies, consistently. Having made his round the world apology tour and recently sided with Castro and Chavez against Honduras, I can come to no other conclusion that the man is intent on destroying our Replublic, alienating our friends and destabilizing our currency to the point were we are a non-factor in international affairs. Personally I think the man is either a retard or a communist.

Instead of allowing the DCCC to send out emails signed by you stating retarded goals and ideals that neither I nor anyone I know could support, why don’t you sit down with the man and do an intense training session on the do’s and don’ts of international relations. Perhaps you could point out that removing the missile sheild system agreement, whether the system is ready or not only signals our enemies that we are weak appeasers, and that we are weak allies whose word means nothing.

This dolt has done more in 9 months to hurt our world position than GWB had done in 8 years! He needs help, mental help, soon. And please, don’t mention that ass Pelosi in another email again. That hag being Speaker is the biggest mistake the House Democracts have ever made. Like I’m really stupid enough to believe that If I give DCCC a dollar, Pelosi is going to shell out 2 dollars out of her own pocket. HA!

The House Democrats could do us all a favor and actually start investigating some of the rampant corruption within their own ranks, not to mention ACORN and SEIU, instead of emptying the east coast stock piles of white wash they’re using to hide the facts.

Sincerely,

Dude

Now I understand that that was a bit harsh, but dammit, that email just hacked me off!

The Gall!

High Treason?

I took someone’s advice a while back and picked up a few books on Liberty, Economics and among other things, the Progressive Movement. I’ve been reading 3-5 books simultaneously for a while now. I can’t digest that much information or ideas without the occasional hick-a-burp, so I put them away for a while and read a few books entirely for sport, thrillers, sci-fi, and the like.

Tonight I noticed a book I hadn’t even cracked yet. It was American Progressivism by Pestritto and Atto. It opened with a thunderclap and has been beating me about the head and shoulders for a few hours now. I haven’t even gotten out of the first chapter!

I’ve been mulling over the Honduran conundrum for a few months, and I finally think I understand what is going on. The book along with some great help from Greta Van Susteren’s informative piece tonight on the subject clarified things to the point that I was struck with the (not dumb..struck) impulse to start writing NOW! To borrow a bit from ACORN’s moniker.

The book states that basic Progressivism dictates that the Constitution is invalid. It is an old document written with the intent of getting us out from under King George, but beyond that, it is nothing but a neat page of parchment to put in a museum somewhere. This line of thinking by some progressives has extended to reveal that the Founders were a bunch of rich good ol’ boys intent on keeping their status and wealth and that the Constitution was nothing more than a tool to meet those ends.

I was shocked to say the least. I didn’t realize that that the seemingly innocuous term “progressive” was cover for a much more insidious movement. Dare I say it? A movement who’s goal was the usurpation of individual rights for the “rights” of the masses, and thereby the State. Those rights promised in the Preamble, implied in the Declaration of Independence and enumerated in the Bill of Rights. Yep, them rights.

The Movement didn’t stop there, it was also espoused that not only was the Constitution old fashioned, but so was the Bible! The Bible? No way! (see Walter Rauschenbusch) Yes, and this also explains a few things about BHO. Some of these progressives went so far as to say that seeking personal salvation in the afterlife was…..selfish. Yes, selfish. We should, according to Progressive scripture, seek to create heaven here on earth, in America, and that it was our duty to relinquish our personal property rights and give all on the alter of the Progressive State. That individual(and by the way, states) rights were a hindrance to the goal of social justice for all. I’m not kidding. This also explains Barry’s only passing attempt at appearing a Christian, forgoing the national day of prayer, and how he slept for the entire 20 years of Reverend Wright’s sermons. The State is his God and he gets to go to church everyday now. See, we ain’t payin taxes, we tithing, dincha know?

This movement in America was seemingly begun by German/Euro thinking imported into America during the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. John Hopkins University was supposedly founded on these ideas and was deliberately formed to import these ideas into America. Look, I’m just telling you what I have read, look it up. Disciples include, FDR, Woodrow Wilson, Lydon Johnson, Herbert Croly, John Dewey, Robert La Follette.

With this in mind I began putting things together. Maybe I’m mad as a hatter, but it seemed to make sense. Hillary has in the past labeled herself a Progressive, and I think she made a good stab at it with the first Great Health Care Reform Debacle. I don’t recall BHO ever stating he’s of a Progressive mindset, but he sure does act like it.

Take for instance the whole Czar issue. Its clearly an attempt at circumventing the checks and balances enumerated in the Constitution. For someone who believes the Constitution isn’t worth the really old paper its written on, this would be an easy leap to make. Czars Czars, bring on the Czars! The whole GM takeover is another good example. GM was private property(owned by the shareholders), Barry steps in and suddenly its now owned by the unions that helped drive it into the ground and the original owners are out of luck. Instead of letting it declare bankruptcy and fix its problems, presto chango, its now owned by “the masses”. Chosen masses no less.

The now splintered grab at one huge piece of the economy, health care, is another good example. The nanny state MUST control this one basic right of humans, free and easy healthcare for the masses, whatever the cost. Sorry, I didn’t see that one mentioned in the Constitution. Ooops, I forgot, tattered ol’ piece of toilet paper doesn’t mean a thing.

Another good example of how progressivism has wormed its way into American politics is the decision (June 24, 2005) by the SCOTUS in affirming that eminent domain has priority over personal property rights, including the stunning decision that to qualify, towns, cities and states must only prove that they would gather more taxes from the property being seized if its for commercial development rather than the private use of an individual to do with what he pleases, be it raise pigs, watch the corn grow, or nothing at all.

It seems that while I and other Americans took the oath to uphold and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, some of us took it much more seriously than others. I would propose that some were lying through their teeth, not only to ignore the most revered of our founding documents, but to actively seek to destroy it and all that it stands for. A bit strong? No, not strong enough. As a child I thought the screeching shenanigans of a certain Mr. McCarthy were not very American, I’m seriously coming around to his viewpoint. It the ninth inning, down by 5 runs, 2 outs, no one on base and our batters haven’t hit anything off this guy. Time to pray for a good bolt of lightning, eh?

So, where in the world does all this fit in with Honduras? Good question. I knew that while the coverage on the Honduran situation was limited at best, Honduras has been a good friend to the US and didn’t seem to have the problems that a lot of other South American countries seem to. Stable, no coups that I could remember recently and I thought it interesting that somehow a coup had suddenly come to peaceful Honduras, straw man for Chavez to ratchet on every once in a while. This “coup” was peaceful, the El Presidente didn’t get dragged off to the jungle and shot like a dog with his family watching, no, they put him on a plane and shipped him out. They told him not to come back. So, why does BHO side with Chavez and Castro? Why does the White House cut off all aid and funding to Honduras?

What reason would they have to do that? Actually, the Honduran Supreme Court ordered the military to do it. Oh, so now some lofty General is in charge, rioting in the streets, martial law….Nope. All is well, the Supreme Court installed a successor as described in the Honduran Constitution. So what did the old Presidente do that got him kicked out? Was it so bad as all that? By Honduran standards yes. This I learned tonight from Greta, by the way, did I remember to thank Greta for her great journalism? The President had called for a referendum to alter the Honduran Constitution to allow him to serve another term, or in another capacity which is strictly forbidden by the H.C. It is also enumerated that anyone attempting to alter said H.C. is to be removed immediately from power and not allowed to hold any public office for at least 10 years. They warned him. He persisted. They removed him. Shoot him? No. Exiled I guess would be a good word for it.

Now, knowing the story, what does that tell us about BHO? He’s obviously not in favor of Constitutions like that. Gee Whizz, if our founding fathers had just had the fore site to put something like that in ours…sigh. So BHO is a constitution hater, ours, theirs or anyone’s that doesn’t give liberals/progressives the ability to circumvent it to promote their own agenda. What is that you say? BHO has an agenda? It sure doesn’t look like it. I know, it looks like he’s taken a big slurp out of a steaming cup of FAIL, but looks are deceiving. To me it looks like he’s right on track.

Hows that say you? Look at it this way. If you were going to take this country apart at the seams, either piece by piece or one big explosion, either way will work, how would you do it? Take a crashing economy, pushed over the edge by like minded idiots (See Frank, Pelosi, Reed, Waters etc. etc.), use it to spend taxes like a mad man. Get a foot in the doors of all the big chunks of our economy(manufacturing, energy, banking, health care/insurance) so you have precedence when the proverbial poop hits the fan. Destabilize your own currency, causing massive inflation and an inability to pay down your own debit(see Germany pre-Nazi). Foment unrest domestically with massive unemployment and racial charges being bandied about like pinatas at a Cinco De Mayo parade.

The way I see it, his/their aim is to tear this country apart, like I said, slowly or one big bang, and rebuild it at their leisure. They do not respect the Constitution, they disdain it. They wish to make us gray featureless pawns in their grand “Heaven on Earth” game, and they do not care who gets ground up in the process. Why is BHO so outspoken against Iraq, yet so insistent that we win the fight in Afghanistan? Why has our troops levels in the “Stan” increased so drastically when BHO campaigned on bringing the troops home? As I asked on twitter tonight, what was Rome’s defense against revolution and dictatorship? It was to not allow the troops in Rome, much less the Italian peninsula. Rome constantly shipped troops around the empire to keep them busy. Build a wall, build a road, sack these barbarians, etc.

I think we’re in the opposite side of that. The troops would have a huge stabilizing effect on any domestic situation. I don’t believe for one minute that if the chips were down, any of our boys would fire on civilians. I can’t say the same for BHO’s “domestic army”. What was that figure I heard today? Wasn’t ACORN in line to get around 8.5 BILLION dollars before the current scandal erupted?

Now you may disagree, or think I’ve lost my mind, maybe I’m a 911′er, truther, birth’er, 10th’er(actually, I guess I am a 10th’er, you know, believe the 10th amendment means something) nutbag alien captive’er. And your welcome to believe it but I don’t think so, self deluded, OK, whatever. I’ll go a step further and get my own rope. I think the truth of the matter is that Progressivism is an idea soaked in HIGH TREASON! Anyone who attempts to undermine the Constitution of the United States is a traitor and should be treated as such. God help us all.

You may now return to your regularly scheduled dollop of mindless pablum.
